Refund Policy

At MastryHub, we strive to provide exceptional experiences through our hackathons, events, and platform services. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be requested and processed.
General Policy
MastryHub primarily operates as a free-to-use platform for hackathon participation and community engagement. Most of our events and services are offered at no cost. This refund policy applies specifically to paid services, premium event registrations, and sponsored programs where a fee is collected.
Event Registration Fees
For events that require a registration fee:
- Full Refund: Cancellation requests made more than 7 days before the event start date are eligible for a full refund
- Partial Refund (50%): Cancellation requests made between 3–7 days before the event start date may receive a 50% refund
- No Refund: Cancellation requests made less than 3 days before the event start date are generally not eligible for a refund
Refund timelines are calculated based on the official event start date as listed on the MastryHub platform.
Event Cancellation by MastryHub
If MastryHub cancels an event for any reason:
- All registered participants who paid a fee will receive a full refund
- Refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method
- Participants will be notified via email at least 48 hours in advance when possible
Premium Services & Subscriptions
For any premium services or hub subscriptions:
- Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time before the next billing cycle
- No prorated refunds are provided for partial months of service
- Annual plans may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if no premium features have been used
Travel Reimbursements
Travel reimbursements for in-person events are handled separately from the refund policy. Reimbursement amounts, eligibility criteria, and timelines are determined on a per-event basis and communicated to eligible participants directly. MastryHub reserves the right to modify reimbursement terms for each event.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please:
- Send an email to mastryhub@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your registered email address, event name, and reason for the refund
- Attach any relevant transaction receipts or confirmation emails
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3 business days. Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days.
Exceptions
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- Disqualification from an event due to violation of the Code of Conduct or Terms of Service
- Failure to attend an event without prior notice (no-shows)
- Disputes arising from prize distribution or judging outcomes
- Services rendered in full before the refund request

MastryHub reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
